In a statement yesterday, President Donald Trump outlined his vision for addressing the ongoing conflict in Gaza, suggesting that countries like Jordan and Egypt should absorb Palestinian Arabs who have fled the region. The president proposed a potential mass relocation to help resolve the situation by essentially “cleaning out” the troubled area.

Trump shared with reporters on Air Force One that he had discussed this idea earlier with Jordan’s King Abdullah II and planned to speak with Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi in the coming days. He remarked, “I’d like him to take people. I’d like Egypt to take people,” indicating his support for a significant resettlement effort. “You’re talking about, probably a million and a half people, and we just clean out that whole thing and say, ‘You know it’s, over.’”

As he reflected on the situation in Gaza, Trump acknowledged the severe challenges facing the region, expressing his appreciation for Jordan’s assistance with hosting Gazans. He told King Abdullah, “I’d love for you to take on more, cause I’m looking at the whole Gaza Strip right now, and it’s a mess. It’s a real mess.”

The president went on to suggest that relocating Palestinian Arabs could be either a temporary or long-term solution, recognizing the deep-rooted conflicts in the area over centuries. “Something has to happen,” Trump said. “But it’s literally a demolition site right now. Almost everything’s demolished, and people are dying there.”

Trump also proposed collaborating with Arab nations to offer new living arrangements for displaced people, saying, “So, I’d rather get involved with some of the Arab nations, and build housing in a different location, where they can maybe live in peace for a change.”

Trump’s comments come after a report from NBC News, which highlighted the president’s consideration of temporarily relocating residents of Gaza to Indonesia for reconstruction purposes. However, Indonesian officials swiftly rejected the proposal, declaring, “Any attempt to uproot or deport Gaza residents is entirely unacceptable.”

  1. And why exactly should Jordan and Egypt give a hoot to what U.S. President Trump says? Has Trump become World’s leader? Does he think he can deal with the P.A. (Pereh Adam Human Beasts) like with Humans of the rest of the world?

  2. From all the countries in that region, Jordan is thee most anti semitic and will do whatever it can NOT to help Israel or the so-called Palestinians.

  3. The conditions in Jordan’s older refugee camp are so much worse than the Nuseirat refugee camp in Gaza. (You can check it out for yourself on Google Maps.)

I think it’s fine to resettle them in Jordan’s refugee camp. Having to actually fight for their daily survival will give them something productive to do.

  4. There’s a reason why no Arab country wants to accept the Gazans as refugees. They ALL know that these so-called “palestinians” (a nation that never existed) are a bunch of wild animals that will never become part of their society and will remain a criminal element and a fifth column inside them. Just as they did in Jordan before Black September, and just as they did in Kuwait during the first Gulf war. So no one wants to touch them with a 100-foot pole.
