President Trump issued an eyebrow-raising tweet Friday morning.

“I am being investigated for firing the FBI Director by the man who told me to fire the FBI Director! Witch Hunt,” he wrote.

Trump’s tweet comes less than a day after a strange statement from a senior official in his administration.

On Thursday night, Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein issued a statement in which he cautioned Americans against believing stories about the Department of Justice Russia investigation that cited unnamed sources:

“Americans should exercise caution before accepting as true any stories attributed to anonymous ‘officials,’ particularly when they do not identify the country — let alone the branch or agency of government — with which the alleged sources supposedly are affiliated. Americans should be skeptical about anonymous allegations. The Department of Justice has a long-established policy to neither confirm nor deny such allegations.” Read more at NPR.

  1. It definitely is witch hunt. The Special Counsel Mueller should be investigated by a Special Counsel and should be fired and so should the CIA agent Rod Rosenstein.

  2. Trump is the first American President who had a such massive landslide victory (377 Electoral College vote over 161 for Hillary which mainstream media manipulated to 306 for Trump over 232) and the only President being attacked by a previous President, by the CIA and many government officials and by the sore loser candidate.
It’s a miracle that he still achieves so much on a daily basis with all that nonsense.

  3. Trump is in charge of the executive branch, and he should use the power: first clean up FBI and NSA, then State Department, IRS, PEA, education and other departments. Replace all managing bureaucrats, then initiate criminal investigations of all the major political players in the last few decades – start with a simple question: how did you all guys go from broke to multi millionaire on government salary.

  4. It’s time for Trump and the Republicans to push back. The best defense is a good offense. Enough of this nonsense; all these agencies serve under the president. The DOJ and all it’s hierarchy serve at the pleasure of the president. He can fire a new director every day. this whole story is nonsense – just a liberal media trying to apply pressure from anywhere as they hope something will stick.
