Trump Made Eight Attempts to Meet With Iran Leader But Was Ignored

President Trump has asked eight times for a meeting with his Iranian counterpart on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly in September, but his request was repeatedly denied, according to Iranian President Hassan Rouhani’s Chief of Staff.

“During Rouhani’s last visit to New York for the UN General Assembly session, Trump asked the Iranian delegation eight times to have a meeting with the president,” Mahmoud Vaezi told reporters on Wednesday, according to Mehr news agency.

Vaezi said the Iranian team had not responded to the requests, which came just after Trump announced he can no longer confirm Iran’s compliance with the 2015 nuclear deal, leading to his eventual withdrawal from the pact in May.

“We have a transparent policy and clear position with regard to our relations with the US that (we) will not yield to pressure,” Agence France Presse quoted Vaezi as saying.

  1. That’s funny. John Kerry tried and got a meeting immediately. His illegal collusion was let off the hook by the incompetent little scardy cat, Jeff floppy ears Sessions.

  2. Maybe the Iran leader is afraid that Trump will ask for the money back, and if they don’t have all of it we can take the money back in installments.
