Trump Manager: Actually, We’re Winning—Because of “Undercover Voters”

Donald Trump’s new campaign manager, Kellyanne Conway, told a U.K. news channel the real-estate mogul is actually winning in U.S. election polls. Conway contended that poll numbers in the U.S. are inaccurate because the Republican’s supporters are “undercover,” and she has survey figures that are more accurate—but she can’t say specifically what they are.

Conway said the polls that are widely publicized in the United States contain “cherry-picked” numbers. “Donald Trump performs consistently better in online polling, where a human being is not talking to another human being about what he or she may do in the election,” Conway said. “It’s because it’s become socially desirable, if you’re a college-educated person in the United States of America, to say that you’re against Donald Trump.” She said the real numbers are an indicator of a “hidden Trump vote.” She added, “It’s a project we’re doing internally.
