The Israeli-Palestinian peace plan drawn up by the Trump administration may be ready to present by mid-June, said an Israeli TV report Monday night, despite expectations it would be published imminently following Israel’s national elections on Tuesday.

An exact date of the tightly-sealed plan’s unveiling has yet to be set and will depend on several factors, most importantly the outcome of the elections, Israel’s Channel 13 reported citing White House sources.

Blue and White party leader and arch rival to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Benny Gantz said earlier on Monday that should he unseat the current premier that the Trump administration would likely delay the release of the plan until after he forms a government.

“I expect the American administration to hold off with their plans until I can form a government,” Gantz told Israel’s Walla! News. “After that, we can sit down and discuss the plan in an organized and orderly way.”
