President Donald Trump nominated Robert Wood Johnson, the owner of an American professional football franchise, to be ambassador to the United Kingdom, the White House said in a press release.

Since 2000, Johnson has been the Chairman and CEO of the New York Jets and Chairman and CEO of the New York Jets Foundation.

  1. Sure, that makes sense. The Jets have been an embarrassment for the last 45+ years. They have been the laughing stock of the NFL. Anything that can go wrong, goes wrong with the pathetic Jets. They have had terrible upper management. It fits well with the State of New Jersey. Both incompetent.
