In a provocative tirade, former President Trump raised doubts on Monday about President Biden’s alleged use of cocaine while condemning his indictment in the Mar-a-Lago documents case.
Seizing the opportunity presented by the White House cocaine scandal, Trump made an assertion that Biden may be illicitly consuming drugs. Moreover, he reiterated the claims that Biden had authorized the search of his Florida resort residence. On his social media platform, Trump posed the question, “Was Crooked Joe Biden on Cocaine when he instructed the FBI/DOJ to illegally invade my home, Mar-a-Lago? Was he on Cocaine, or various other substances, when he, for the first time in U.S. history, had his political opponent … indicted and arrested.”
Trump accused the White House of concealing the discovery of a small packet of cocaine in an area commonly used by visitors. He insinuated that the drugs could have belonged to the president himself or his son, Hunter, who has previously struggled with substance abuse. Trump asserted, “If they don’t release information, it means they destroyed the tapes & the Cocaine was for use by Hunter, & probably Crooked Joe, in order to give this total disaster of a President a little life and energy!”
Trump’s diatribe coincided with a request made by his aide and co-defendant, Walt Nauta, to delay a procedural hearing in the documents case. Special counsel Jack Smith opposed the request, arguing that an indefinite continuance would be unnecessary, causing further delays and conflicting with the public’s interest. Judge Aileen Cannon has not yet ruled on the request.

When President Biden was asked on Monday whether Mr. Trump was correct in suggesting that the packet of cocaine found in the White House belonged to the President, Mr. Biden told reporters: “Of course not! I don’t use packets of powdered cocaine, I smoke my cocaine, and I buy it ready-made in cigarette form.”
“It’s just more lies coming out of Trump’s mouth!” Mr. Biden said. “I may be a crack addict, but Trump is completely cracked!”
