President Trump lashed out at Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Monday over his grim outlook on Ukraine’s ongoing conflict with Russia, criticizing his claim that the war’s resolution remains a distant prospect. The latest remarks from Trump intensified the growing divide between the two leaders, coming just days after a heated argument erupted in the Oval Office.
“This is the worst statement that could have been made by Zelenskyy [sic], and America will not put up with it for much longer!” Trump declared on Truth Social.
The president continued his attack, accusing Zelensky of prolonging the war by relying on foreign aid rather than seeking peace. “It is what I was saying, this guy doesn’t want there to be Peace as long as he has America’s backing and, Europe, in the meeting they had with Zelenskyy [sic], stated flatly that they cannot do the job without the U.S. [sic] – Probably not a great statement to have been made in terms of a show of strength against Russia. What are they thinking?”
Zelensky’s remarks about peace negotiations came on Sunday, just two days after a tense exchange with Vice President JD Vance cast further doubt on the United States’ commitment to Ukraine’s defense.
During the fiery confrontation in the Oval Office on Friday, Trump made it clear that Ukraine had a stark choice to make. “You’re either going to make a deal or we’re out, and if we’re out, you’ll fight it out,” he told Zelensky. “I don’t think it’s going to be pretty.”

Lemme just remind you. Russia’s “war” with Ukraine was not invasion of land but was solely in the DUMBS (tunnels) where they destroyed underground nuclear weapons, biochemical labs and rescued millions of children. The latter is what Zelensky is not willing to end.

He’s nervous what Russia will do later. It was a known fact that American gave him money to fight the war but not to win the war. If we gave him enough to win the war it would be s if we fought Russia, which could lead to World War III. That is probably what Trump was referring to. Trump feels at this point the only way to end the war is to cut the losses. Yes it`s not pretty for Ukraine and it benefits Russia, but the alternative is more war which means more death and destruction. He feels he can get Putin to stick to an agreement. Zelensky asked him how he could get Putin to stick to an agreement, which was a challenge toTrump. Which Trump didnt like. Maybe Trump can put Putin in his place, but what happens after Trumps 4 years? Zelenksy fears the next president won’t be tough enough to keep Putin in place and it starts all over again.
