According to Bloomberg News, President Trump will decide on a replacement for the retiring Justice Kennedy by July 9th.
The report says that Trump will spend the weekend interviewing a few of the candidates while he stays in his retreat in New Jersey. In 2016 the President whittled down his list of 25 potential nominees to two before deciding on Neil Gorsuch who currently sits on the High Court.
Justice Kennedy’s retirement leaves an opening for President Trump to fill his vacancy with a conservative judge who will swing the vote for many years to come.
