During a recent sitdown with NBC’s Meet the Press host Kristen Welker, former President and 2024 GOP frontrunner Donald Trump blasted former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi for turning down 10,000 soldiers ahead of the Capitol Riot on January 6th.
Trump declined to answer if he called military or law enforcement that day, saying, “I behaved so well, I did such a good job, Nancy Pelosi turned down 10,000 soldiers … if she didn’t do that …” Welker challenged Trump that Pelosi did not have the authority he had as commander in chief.
“I understand that the police testified against her, the chief very strongly against her, the Capitol police, great people,” Trump said in the interview aired Sunday. “They testified against her, and they burned all the evidence. OK? They burned all the evidence. They destroyed all the evidence about Nancy Pelosi.”
“She has authority over the Capitol,” Trump added. “National Guard not coming? I asked her [for them] to be there three days in advance, and she turned it down.”

There are massive layers upon layers of lies in the political establishment
You mean lies in the media. You’re missing all the exciting happenings in the world if you follow these nonsensical lying reports.

I don’t understand what that sentence is suppose to prove. Trump is the one authorizing the soldiers to be placed under the command of the Capitol. But aside from that, the news on 15 January 2021 reported that Pelosi appointed “Retired Lt. Gen. Russell Honoré to lead an immediate review of security infrastructure, interagency processes and command and control” for the purpose of securing Biden’s swearing-in ceremony. That means she will be doing all the security for Biden’s ceremony while Trump would still be in charge (as Biden cannot take over until after the swearing in ceremony). That means Pelosi could have already done the same thing before January 6th, just as well as after January 6th.
