President Donald Trump said Friday the U.S. Postal Service should charge Amazon.com more to deliver packages, the latest in a series of public criticisms of the online retailer and one that sent the company’s stock lower in pre-market trading.
The post office “should be charging MUCH MORE” for package delivery, the president tweeted from his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida, where he’s been spending the holidays.
“Why is the United States Post Office, which is losing many billions of dollars a year, while charging Amazon and others so little to deliver their packages, making Amazon richer and the Post Office dumber and poorer?” Trump told his 45 million followers.

I believe the Donald id making a mistake. If USPS charges more it will only hurt the consumer/taxpayer.
So according to your logic our tax dollars should subsidize all kinds of profitable businesses so that their customers can save a buck or two?!
It was reported in July 2017 that EACH box mailed by Amazon gets $1.46 government subsidy.
Why? Why do we the taxpayers need to assist a profitable company?
Interesting. Again interesting.
#1, no , it would mean Bezos will make a little less and USPS which is subsidized by the government will break even thereby sparing the taxpayer the bill of paying for their deficit
He right.
He’s right.
