President Trump will announce a Supreme Court nominee in the coming week — and his pick will be a woman, he promised Saturday night.

“It will be a woman. A very talented, very brilliant woman who I haven’t chosen yet, but we have a number of women on the list,” the president promised cheering supporters at an evening rally in Fayetteville, NC.

Trump opened the rally by saying he joins with the nation in mourning the loss of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, who died Friday night at 87 after a long battle with pancreatic cancer.

“Her landmark rulings, fierce devotion to justice and her courageous battle against cancer inspire all Americans,” he said.

“She was an inspiration to a tremendous number of people. I say all Americans.”

  1. Big mistake. Why would President Trump take a page out of the DNC playbook? We appoint people/candidates based on their qualifications and experience, not some stupid PC garbage! Affirmative action, a likeness to this incorrect decision, is a slap in the face to all hard working qualified people who got to where they are due to hard work and termination, not the color of their skin or their gender. Bad bad decision by the President.

    • Agree with you. But I think Trump has already decided on the nominee who happens to be a woman, which is why he can make such a statement to please feminists and affirmative action garbage. He says he hasn’t chosen her yet, meaning, he didn’t announce it yet.
