During his interview on ‘Fox and Friends’ today, President Trump addressed his recent revelation negating the self started rumors that he had wiretapped private conversations with former FBI director James Comey.

Trump explained his strategy as one intended to keep Comey honest.

“When he found out that there may be tapes out there…I think his story may have changed,” Trump said. “I mean you’ll have to take a look at that because then he has to tell what actually happened at the events.”

He added: “[The suggestion] wasn’t very stupid. He did admit that what I said was right and, if you look further back before he heard about that, maybe he wasn’t admitting that.”

Comey had previously been reluctant to say in public that the president was not the subject of any FBI investigation. But after Trump’s “tapes” tweet, Comey highly-detailed memos regarding his one-on-one meetings with Trump to The New York Times, a development that eventually spurred congressional testimony and ultimately led Comey to admit he assured Trump multiple times he wasn’t the subject of a federal probe.

  1. This turned into a comical farce.
Luckily, the public is not buying this nonsense & sent the Dems packing.
The Senate has to start working on the tax bill soon in order to give this administration some success.

    • Well, the Dems have been scoring a lot of moral victories with their close finishes. Just like the NY Jets. Just keep on losing but keep the score close.
