President Trump issued a stern warning to Russian President Vladimir Putin, urging him to bring the ongoing conflict in Ukraine to a swift end or risk facing severe economic consequences, including “high levels of taxes, tariffs and sanctions.”

Taking to Truth Social on Wednesday, Trump reiterated his disapproval of Putin’s actions and the damage they’ve inflicted on Russia’s economy, stressing that Moscow will only suffer more if the war continues.

“Settle now, and STOP this ridiculous War! IT’S ONLY GOING TO GET WORSE,” Trump stated emphatically.

He further warned that without a resolution soon, he would have no choice but to impose significant economic penalties: “If we don’t make a ‘deal,’ and soon, I have no other choice but to put high levels of Taxes, Tariffs, and Sanctions on anything being sold by Russia to the United States, and various other participating countries,” he wrote.

Trump concluded with a call for a resolution, suggesting that the war could have been avoided had he been in office: “Let’s get this war, which never would have started if I were President, over with! We can do it the easy way, or the hard way — and the easy way is always better,” he said. “It’s time to ‘MAKE A DEAL.’ NO MORE LIVES SHOULD BE LOST!!!”
