President Trump on Wednesday lashed out at the ongoing special counsel investigation into possible collusion between his campaign and Russia while saying talks of obstruction of justice charges are a “setup & trap.”
In a tweet, the president said accusations that members of his campaign were in contact with Russia are a “hoax,” while adding that there was “no Obstruction of Justice” when he fired former FBI Director James Comey last year.
“There was no Collusion (it is a Hoax) and there is no Obstruction of Justice (that is a setup & trap). What there is is Negotiations going on with North Korea over Nuclear War, Negotiations going on with China over Trade Deficits, Negotiations on NAFTA, and much more. Witch Hunt!” the president writes.
