The White House said Wednesday that President Donald Trump will not change his plan to travel to New Jersey this weekend despite a new order by the governor requiring visitors who have been in states with high numbers of coronavirus cases to quarantine for 14 days.

“The president of the United States is not a civilian,” White House spokesman Judd Deere said when asked about Trump’s compliance with the quarantine order given his travel Tuesday to Arizona, which has seen a rise in the rate of its COVID-19 cases.

“Anyone who is in close proximity to him, including staff, guests and press are tested for COVID-19 and confirmed to be negative,” Deere said in a statement.

“With regard to Arizona, the White House followed its COVID mitigation plan to ensure the president did not come into contact with anyone who was symptomatic or had not been tested,” the spokesman added.

  1. “The president of the United States is not a civilian”

the correct statement would be “The president of the United States is not a MENTSH”

    • Dear 1:38pm, you must have a first degree knowledge of being nisht a mench, since in your perverted worldview being a feeble-minded obedient servant of the fascist Murphy or Cuomo equates to being “a mentsh”. I bet you didn’t have any complaints when the BLM “protesters” were tacitly allowed to disregard all the supposedly crucial “social distancing” rules, which by the way did not result in a significant spike – which proves that NY and NJ have pretty much achieved the herd immunity, which makes any further entire-state “quarantine” in NY and NJ unnecessary. You have a foolproof way to tell if someone is lying: that would be if someone calls you smart.

  2. Those who were tested positive (for what? who knows?) are no different than those tested negative. They both are not sick.
