Former President Donald Trump‘s defense at his Senate impeachment trial will include videos of Democrats encouraging violence, one of his lawyers said Friday.
The clips would counter videos that Democrats likely will show of the riot at Capitol and Mr. Trump‘s fiery speech at a rally shortly before the attack on Jan. 6, which Mr. Trump stands accused of inciting.
Trump lawyer Bruce Castor told Fox News’ Laura Ingraham “you can count on that” when asked about using video montage of Democratic members of Congress calling for violence against Trump administration officials and law enforcement.

Biden is a Uniter. I’ve never hear a more inspiring inauguration speech since JFK’s. We must make sure Trump is sentenced to the death penalty. If we can rid the world of Trump, peace will break out across the land. All death and sickness would end.
The Democrats totally scoff at the notion that they should be held to the same standards that they demand from others. Therefore, showing clips of the Dems encouraging violence – while it may be a tempting tactic – I believe it is futile. Trump’s lawyers just need to make the simple case that he didn’t incite the violence. Showing the Dems their hypocrisy before their very own eyes, will not distract the Dems and their mainstream media allies from lynching Trump, even if may make an impact on the impartial news consumer and voter.

I don’t understand. There should have been calls for removing from office and for holding criminally accountable whoever urged and encouraged violence when the BLM riots were raging. What does all of that have to do with the current proceedings? And how can a self-proclaimed frum Jew dare saying that if others should engage in illegal (and repulsive) behaviour, that would somehow excuse us in the event we would do the same?
If they show the video of Mrs. Waters encouraging her kind to go out and harm white Republicans, it will backfire. They will call the defense team “priviliged white racists”, as Mrs. Waters is a black female.
I mentioned this argument to a Democrat who responded with 100% sincerity “The Democrats may have said the same thing as Trump but it was Trump who caused the capital breakdown so only he is guilty”
