According to reports, a mugshot of President Donald Trump is now displayed outside the Oval Office.
Some Democratic lawmakers, along with certain Republican critics, had hoped that the mugshot, which was taken during Trump’s August 2023 arraignment in Georgia, would serve as a barrier to his potential return to the White House. However, the controversy surrounding the alleged misuse of the Justice Department under the Biden administration instead helped propel Trump into securing a second term and a strong mandate in November.
Now, the mugshot is reportedly hanging in the hallway outside the Oval Office, directly behind White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles, as reported by Newsweek on Friday.
The presence of the mugshot outside the Oval Office was first observed during Trump’s meeting with India’s Prime Minister on Thursday.
“The audacious décor choice was first spotted during Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s state visit, when sharp-eyed reporters noticed the unmistakable glare of the Fulton County booking,” the Times of India reported. “As Modi and Trump exchanged pleasantries, the mugshot loomed in the background — a silent but unmissable testament to Trump’s brand of political immortality.”
Trump voluntarily surrendered on August 24, 2023, to face charges brought by a grand jury in Fulton County, Georgia. District Attorney Fani Willis charged him with attempting to overturn the 2020 presidential election results.
Last month, a Georgia appeals court unanimously upheld the dismissal of six counts in the state’s election interference case against Trump and his allies, siding with a trial judge who determined that the charges were lacking crucial details.

Definitely a mug shot. The gold tint in his hair was neglected.
