Media personality Whoopi Goldberg is under fire following comments in which she appeared to question the categorization of the Taliban and Hamas as terrorist organizations.
On an episode of “The View,” when one of the show’s other hosts, Sara Haines, noted how U.S. Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) has compared Israel to “organized terrorist communities” such as Hamas and the Taliban, Goldberg responded, “Depends on who you talk to.”
Among a flurry of social media reaction to Goldberg’s remark, Andrew Ghalili, a senior policy analyst at the Jewish Institute for National Security of America, tweeted that those who disagree with the description of the Taliban and Hamas as terrorist groups “are terrorist-sympathizing bigots.”
Earlier this year, Goldberg sparked a controversy when she denied the Nazis’ racist motives, saying on “The View” that “the Holocaust isn’t about race. It’s about man’s inhumanity to man.”
Goldberg’s latest comments add to the recent wave of antisemitism controversies surrounding celebrities, including the rapper Ye and basketball player Kyrie Irving. JNS
Why are we paying attention to this buffoon? She is nothing more than a liberal pundit who is articulate (maybe not) and gets attention just because she is a media personality. I don’t bring my questions about plumbing, health, or electricity to sports figures, as their thoughts about these areas are irrelevant. Same here.
Because it’s the tip of the iceberg, the thin end of the wedge–however you want to say it: the more these people, whose words seep into the public consciousness, make comments that insinuate that Jews are bad, wrong, paranoid, and so on and so on, the more people develop an irrational hatred of us and a subconscious belief that we somehow deserve whatever bad things happen to us, or that they should teach us a lesson.
Unfortunately her ramblings, buffoonish though they may be, are not irrelevant: they are like poisoned water seeping into the dirt that is the mind of the average viewer.
She is an actress, that’s all. Plus a left wing bigot. I don’t understand why people listen to such celebrities. They are actors with shallow understanding of anything.

Thank you for your insightful perspective that the application of the “terrorist” label to the Taliban and Hamas is a function of “Who you talk to.”
To illustrate the folly of your totally mindless comment, let me “turn the comment around on you.” Although Associate Justice Ketanji Brown admitted that she would need a degree in biology before she could define “woman,” I do not need a degree in art to know that my skin pigmentation has a lighter hew than yours. Though my ancestors came from Africa, I consider myself a “white person.”
Please consider this hypothetical case. Suppose one of my mindless, insensitive white brothers would be asked about the classification of Black people as intelligent, hard-working, non-violent, athletically-gifted, musical, moral, G-d fearing, drug-free, and sober. Suppose further that my brother responded with the horrific, mindless, wrong-headed and insensitive, “Depends on who you talk to.” I surmise (you can look that up in a dick-shun-ary) that you would be offended beyond words, and justifiably so, by my brother’s response.
Alternatively, suppose one of my mindless, insensitive white brothers would be asked about the KKK terrorists across the last 160 years who murdered thousands of African-Americans by lynching and shooting. Suppose further that my brother responded with the horrific, “Murdered?! It depends who you ask.” Again, you would be offended beyond words.
I had suspected that you lacked common sense and were devoid of human sensitivities prior to this recent comment. Now, I am convinced that you lack common sense and are devoid of human sensitivities. Someone with human sensitivity does not assert that the classification of a behavior (i.e., the murder and wounding of innocents) as pure evil depends upon who is classifying.

The NYSED has lauded Whoopi for her woke educational curriculum. They are proud to introduce this, along with other subjects into NYS schools this coming school year. 2022 seniors upon hearing this news offered up libations and sacrifices, thanking their higher powers for this, their last year in NYS public education.
