Governor Jon Corzine made two new appointments yesterday to the Ocean County Board of Taxation, which come on the heels of three other appointments made last week. If all five nominees are confirmed, all seven seats on the tax board will have been filled.
Mark Ellsworth of Mantoloking and Glenn Harrison of Lakewood will be vetted by the State Police and are subject to review by the state Senate Judiciary Committee and a vote in the Senate before they can be seated.
The board had been functioning with just one member, PG Waxman (seen above), as reported here.
A second member of the Ocean County Board of Taxation was recently confirmed in Trenton. Attorney Nick Montenegro, 66, of Point Pleasant, a Democrat, has joined P.G. Waxman, 50, of Lakewood, also a Democrat. Both have received five-year terms which come with an annual salary of about $20,000.
