The new commander of American and NATO forces in Afghanistan, General John W. Nicholson Jr., apologized Tuesday for the 2015 bombing of a Doctors Without Borders hospital in Kunduz that killed 42 people.

The strike on the hospital continued for hours despite calls to the military to back off the wrong target. “I grieve with you for your loss and suffering, and humbly and respectfully ask for your forgiveness,” Nicholson said during his visit to Afghanistan. Read more at The New York Times.

  1. Apology NOT accepted! Mr. Nicholson should be thrown in prison. If Israel G-d forbid “kills” a terrorist in Gaza who was in the process of killing an Israeli, the US leads the charge of all the Anti Semitic vitriol, condemning in the harshest of ways. When America murders INNOCENT foreign civilians, in their own Country, only a little sheepish “apology” is enough, and the world is quiet. Pheh!
