math testMath scores on the National Assessment of Educational Progress declined this year for the first time in the test’s 25-year history.

The national exam is taken by randomly selected fourth- and eighth-graders.

For this year’s test, fourth-grade students’ math scores fell two points, and the eighth-graders’ by three points, compared with the exam taken in 2013.

In addition, the average eighth-grade reading score dropped three points, while the fourth-graders’ was unchanged.

Education Secretary Arne Duncan said the news “isn’t great,” but he and other officials warned against viewing this year’s results as an indicator of a possible long-term trend. Read more at USA Today.

  1. This is unfortunate. Many inferior desires have no idea the complexity of math and the science of its benefit.

Getting your thoughts together is mathematical. Torah uses math to lead nations.

Hear the L-rd is specifically a mathematical algorhtym.

A student who avoids math is not a future leader. He will always delete integrity before he write better words.

Gird yourselves. The sadness is that some of our jewish communities place no priority on math at all. This dishonors the G-d that gave us intricate mental workings to solve problems.

    Fast minds know math.

If you want to work with a fast G-d, donate much time to studing the mathematics. He can add you into history.

2 plus 2 does not equal heavy eyes.

    Shalom.
