The U.S. military said it carried out an airstrike today that killed the leader of the Islamic State in Syria. U.S. Central Command said in a statement that Maher al-Agal was one of the top five ISIS leaders globally, and the leader in war-ravaged Syria, who worked “aggressively” to expand ISIS outside of Iraq and Syria. One of al-Agal’s close associates was severely injured in the drone strike in the northwest of the country.

According to a team of first responders, the strike, which came a day before President Joe Biden is scheduled to visit the Middle East, hit a motorcycle. “Extensive planning went into this operation to ensure its successful execution,” Central Command said in its statement. “An initial review indicates there were no civilian casualties.” Read more.

  1. President Biden reportedly issued a statement this morning saying: “The Biden administration mourns the loss of one the great leaders of ISIS, who clearly held the interests of the ISIS community deep within his heart.”
The statement went on to say: “Mr. al-Agal reportedly “worked ‘aggressively’ to expand ISIS outside of Iraq and Syria”, and my administration will see to it that the holy martyr’s efforts were not in vain. I’ve asked congress to allocate a $5 billion dollar aide package that will be used to expedite the ISIS expansion.”
“We seek friendship and camaraderie with all the communities of the word, even those who may not see eye to eye, or missile to missile with us.”
“I am also asking congress to remove all economic sanctions from ISIS, and to offer technological assistance to ISIS to help the beleaguered community build a “peaceful” and successful nuclear program.”
    “Thank you.”
“The beloved community of ISIS has our deepest and sincerest condolences.”

  2. Agal was one of the top five ISIS leaders globally, and the leader in war-ravaged Syria

How do they know who is and who isn’t one of the top five ISIS leaders globally , does ISIS give out this information?

Even if they capture ISIS terrorists they probably wouldn’t know themselves who the top five global leaders of ISIS are

  3. Who can forget how The Washington Post eulogized an ISIS leader, describing him as a religious scholar?
