U.S. Says 11K May Die in 2030 Heat Wave

According to a White House report released Monday, extreme temperatures associated with climate change could lead to an additional 11,000 deaths in the summer of 2030.

By 2100, that estimate would jump to 27,000. Scientists anticipate a rise in average temperature of 3 or 4 degrees Celsius by 2030. Read more at USA Today.

  1. How many people die each year due to frigid climate? How many of those lives will be saved by global warming? I do know that milder winters mean smaller bills, which is money saved to my benefit as well as energy saved to the environment’s advantage.
