Uber revealed between July and December of last year, the ride-sharing company provided data on more than 12 million riders and drivers to U.S. agencies and information on 469 users to state and federal law agencies.

In Uber’s first ever transparency report released Tuesday, the company said U.S. agencies requested details on trips, trip request, pickup and dropoff locations, fares, vehicles and drivers. Uber said it received 415 requests from law enforcement agencies, most of which were state governments, and it was able to provide information in nearly 85 percent of the cases.

The company added most of the cases involved fraud investigations or the use of stolen credit cards and it had not received any national security surveillance letters. Read more.
