The United Nations Human Rights Council voted Thursday to create an international investigation to probe alleged crimes during the 11-day conflict between Israel and militant groups in the Gaza Strip this month.
The body voted to establish the inquiry by a 24-9 vote, with 14 abstentions. The resolution to form the investigation was first brought forth by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) and the Palestinian delegation to the United Nations.
The establishment of the probe comes as Israel faces a slew of accusations of war crimes over its punishing aerial and artillery campaign against militants in Gaza, which was launched in response to the launching of thousands of rockets from Hamas and other groups toward southern and central Israel.
The fighting led to the deaths of over 250 Palestinians, including 66 children, according to the Palestinian Health Ministry. A dozen Israelis were also killed, including two children.

Here’s a quick summary of the four categories of potential victims in any Israel/Hamas conflict, and what each side’s objectives are for each category:
Jewish civilians:
a) Hamas deliberately targets all Jews, including Jewish civilians.
b) Israel spends billions protecting its soldiers and civilians.
Jewish soldiers:
a) Hamas deliberately targets all Jews, including Jewish soldiers.
b) Israel spends billions protecting its soldiers and civilians.
Gaza’s civilians:
a) Hama fighters hide behind Gaza’s civilians, using them as human shields. Many Gaza civilians are killed by Hamas’ own rockets, which fell short of Israeli territory. Hamas protects only their own in bomb shelters, while leaving their citizens exposed. Hamas gladly endures civilian casualties to use in anti-Israel propaganda.
b) Israel uses high-tech highly accurate weapons to minimize civilian casualties. Israel sends advance warnings before many of their attacks, even though those warnings allow Hamas fighters to escape. Israel has called off strikes that were already underway when it turned out civilians were nearby and in harms way.
Hamas members:
a) Hama fighters hide behind Gaza’s civilians, including schools and hospitals, using them as human shields. They also hide in deeply-dug tunnels and bomb shelters. Hamas members do whatever they can, including actions considered war crimes, to protect themselves.
b) Israel uses high-tech highly accurate weapons to minimize civilian casualties. They use all types of sophisticated weapons and tactics to attack Hamas’s members, while at the same time being severely constrained due to their efforts to minimize civilian casualties.
In Summary:
a) Hamas’ objective is Israeli civilian casualties, Israeli military casualties and Palestinian civilian casualties. Hamas tries to protect Hamas fighters.
b) Israel’s objective is Hamas casualties. Israel tries to protect Israeli civilians, Israeli army members and Palestinian civilians.
Yes, it’s that simple.

How so?
We still get irked, flustered and outraged that the Resho’im don’t see all the glaringly obvious and crystal-clear logic, reason, common-sense and simple fairness.
Yes, we must do our part in defending ourselves and declaring and defending the truths and simple facts.
But why, oh why, are we still shocked that we must defend such basic things that a 5-year-old easily understands??
When we finally recognize that, for so so many out there, the truth and facts are meaningless, and our enemies are relentless with their agendas, we will finally understand our exile, and finally realize we have only HKB”H to rely on.
I mean, how is this rationally different from when Jews were tortured until they “confessed” consuming gentile blood in their Matzos, followed by them, and often their entire community, being burned at the stake?!
Again… truth, facts, evidence, proofs, logic, reason, fairness etc. etc. is meaningless and worthless when they get in the way of the “merciful’ Goyim.
