It is with great sadness that Matzav.com reports the petirah of Mrs. Chaya Beer a”h, the mother of Eli Beer, president and founder of United Hatzalah.
Mrs. Beer, who resided in Yerushalayim, was known as a woman of yiras Shamayim who raised her children with a steadfast commitment to Torah and chesed.
Together with her husband, Reb Gavriel Beer, she lived for many years in the United States before making aliyah and settling in the city of Yerushalayim.
She merited to see generations of children and grandchildren walking proudly on the path of Torah and chesed.
Her son, Eli Beer, has often spoken about the values of emunah, chesed, and communal responsibility that he absorbed in his parents’ home, crediting that upbringing as the foundation of his life’s work in building United Hatzalah into a world-renowned emergency response organization.
The levayah was held last night, leaving from Maayanei HaYeshua Hospital in Bnei Brak, proceeding to Yerushalayim, where she was laid to rest.
