The multi-hour surgery performed today on Rav Yisroel Belsky, rosh yeshiva of Yeshiva Torah Vodaas, concluded at approximately 9:05 p.m. EST. As reported earlier here on Matzav.com, the surgery took place at Maimonides Medical Center in Boro Park. The surgeons are pleased with the way the surgery proceeded and are optimistic that the rosh yeshiva is on the road to recovery.
Rav Belsky has been in the hospital since Motzoei Shabbos and has been treated for a torn esophagus and a collapsed lung.
The noted posek and manhig still needs our tefillos to ensure that he merits a refuah sheleimah .
All are asked to continue davening for Rav Yisroel ben Chana Tzirel.
