U.S. Threatens to Back UN Against Israel

obama-netanyahu2Bibi Netanyahu’s victory in the Israeli elections this week may push American officials to support a UN-led solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, Western diplomats say.

Though the U.S. has historically been wary of Security Council resolutions on the topic, the Israeli prime minister’s latest proclamations may have changed their minds. In the final hours of his re-election bid, Netanyahu publicly declared his opposition to a two-state solution, which is the basis of U.S. peace negotiations. On Wednesday, State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki was cagey about a U.S. response. “We’re currently evaluating our approach,” she said. “We’re not going to prejudge what we would do if there was a UN action.” Read more at Foreign Policy.

Obama reminds me of third grade–I’m not talking to him because he looked at me funny. bibi’s just saying that a lasting peace isn’t made with people trying to run you over in your own cities and then celebrating when people are killed. Bibi will not and should not negotiate with terrorists. Obama doesn’t care how right Bibi is because he’s back in third grade. I’m just waiting for him to hold a press conference and say “I know you are but what am I?” Oy, what a joke for a prez?

  3. If Jewish residents of Jerusalem are going to continue to expand their porches without permission from the UN and the NY Times editorial board, than by all means, go ahead and make an independent Palestinian State.
