The immunization bill initiated by Welfare and Health Committee member MK Meirav Ben Ari (Kulanu) passed the first reading in the Knesset plenum.

MK Ben-Ari said “this is an important law that unfortunately we haven’t succeeded in passing all of it in this term, but at least it’ll continue in the next Knesset.

“My bill requires that in the event of a disease outbreak like measles, all educational institutions, kindergartens, schools, and universities will be obligated not to allow entry of a child, teacher, or any person who is not vaccinated,” Ben-Ari said.

“We must do everything in our power to prevent sickness and death only because of the irresponsible decisions of parents who choose not to vaccinate their children,” she said.

  1. Trump Lays Groundwork To Ban Mandatory Vaccinations Across U.S. – November 14, 2018

President Trump has created a new division within the Health and Human Services Office for Civil Rights, with the express purpose of banning mandatory vaccinations across the country, and ensuring citizens have a right to choose their own healthcare.
With the establishment of the Conscience and Religious Freedom Division division on Thursday, Trump has laid the groundwork to dismantle each and every vaccine mandate across the country. Big Pharma’s choke-hold on the nation’s health has been released.
Christians and libertarians, as well as freethinkers and people of other religious faiths, have a common interest in fighting against Big Pharma’s corrupt health establishment.

Mainstream media are desperate to keep this news quiet. They don’t want you to know that the president is working to ensure American citizens have a right to choose their own healthcare.
Pharmaceutical companies provide mainstream media outlets with a huge percentage of their advertising revenue. Big pharmaceutical companies actually spend far more on advertising than research. We are talking hundreds of billions of dollars.

Asked about his meeting with Trump, Dr. Andrew Wakefield said: “I met him once before the election, when he was running for the presidency. We had a meeting in Florida. We were there, four of us representing the issue of autism and its link to immunisation.
“He interjected and said, ‘You don’t need to tell me that vaccines cause autism. I’ve seen it, I’ve seen it personally’. We went on to discuss the issue of the autism crisis that is set to affect 80 per cent of boys if nothing is done. He said if he was to be elected he’d do something about it.”

Asked if he was seeking to seize on the issue in the US because he had been disgraced in Britain, Wakefield, said: “I was discredited in the eyes of those who wanted to see me discredited. In other words, those who had an interest in maintaining the status quo.
“I don’t represent any of them. What I represent is the parents and the children who have been damaged.
“Is there a real case to answer? Absolutely. Do I believe vaccines cause autism? Yes I do. Is the problem equally as large in the US? Yes it is.”
The overwhelming majority of experts in the field say Wakefield is wrong and point to as many as 17 studies showing no link between autism and the MMR vaccine, which was first introduced in the UK in 1988.

  2. Rightwing populists ride wave of mistrust of vaccine science
    Dec 21 2018

But now vaccine doubt is spreading faster and further than ever through social media, and populist rightwing politicians in Europe and the US are riding on the back of a wave of mistrust of vaccine science.

The arguments align. Populists are often suspicious of the establishment and authority figures. Antivaxers are hostile to government, medical institutions, Big Pharma and science. In several countries – Italy, France, Poland, the US – both are on the rise.

  3. I searched and found no credible source for the first commentator “Trump Lays Groundwork To Ban Mandatory Vaccinations Across U.S.” Looks like some propaganda site made it up. The actual government division (www.hhs.gov announcement) mentions nothing about vaccines and nothing about the patient (recipient). It is about practitioners rights to religious conscience, and the main point was to allow medical practitioners (and institutions like religious hospitals) to refuse in aiding in things like an abortion. Here is the original

    https://www.hhs.gov/about/news/2018/01/18/hhs-ocr-announces-new-conscience-and-religious-freedom-division.html

In any case, the medical vaccines are almost exclusively state controlled. And thanks to Trump’s appointment of constitutional judges, his own judges will strike down any such Federal interference in a state prerogative on vaccines. What Trump has advocated for was investigation into vaccine safety, that has nothing to do with the religious freedom topic, but so,me propaganda site deliberately obfuscated the two separate matters.
