Daf Yomi B’iyun explores the sugya of “חצי דבר.” The Gemara tells us that the Torah invalidates testimony that only provides part of the information we need. Within this discussion the Gemara makes a distinction that, at first, seems incomprehensible. We take you through some of the approaches of the Rishonim, and, along the way, gain a more sophisticated understanding of this concept.

What is Daf Yomi B’iyun?
With the goal of inviting more people into the exciting process of iyun, Real Clear Daf started a series of shiurim that is called, “Daf Yomi B’iyun.” The idea is simple: videos of iyun shiurim related to the current topic of Daf Yomi study are broadcast for you to enjoy at whatever time is convenient for you.
