mbd[Updated: 10 videos below.] On Motzoei Shabbos, MBD’s Kulam Ahuvim event took place at Brooklyn College. The event featured The Freilach Orchestra and MBD was joined by his son, Yeedle, Shua Kessin and Avrumi Flam.

Avrumi Flam sang Tov Lehodos and Beshetzef, and was followed by Shua Kessin, who recently released his hit album, Lo Lehityaeish. Shua sang the title track, Lo Lehityaeish, and then picked up his guitar on stage and sat on a stool to play his popular composition, Nishmas Kol Chai. He concluded his performance with the ever popular Beitin.

Yeedle then sang Ahallel and Illan. Then came a great medley of Yeedle hits, including Ashrecha, Yismach Yisroel, Ella Ella and Vehavei. Yeedle and Aaron Razel then sang Ma Tamar together.

Aaron Razel then performed Hegia Zeman Hageula.  His next song, the famous Vehi Shhe’amda, was composed by his brother, Yonatan Razel, Aaron then performed three more songs, and MBD and Aaron performed “Es Achai” from MBD’s latest album.

At that point, MBD took over the stage. He began with Kulam Ahuvim and then sang Anovim, Bo Yovo, Lulei Soroscha and Usid.

Those who attended the concert were given a “gift bag,” which included a playbill, Americare sticky pad and a brand new single entitled “Pomegranate.” A special video presentation of this song was shown at the event, composed and sung by Yossi Green, with additional vocals by Michael Ian Elias.

MBD sang a great nostalgia medley including I’d Rather Pray & Sing and Happy Days. Yeedle joined his father on stage and they sang Yeedle’s hit Shiru Lamelech. MBD then sang Maaminim, Efshar Letakein, Someday and the hit Amar Rabi Akiva. MBD then sang Moshiach with the entire cast (except Aaron Razel who had to catch a plane back to Israel).

The separate seating show was produced by Ozer Babad.

  1. He’s still at it and hasn’t lost his touch unbelievable how after close to forty years noone can seem to compete with MBD on stage never missing a beat never going off key
watch the movements of his feet and his head all at the same time with a specific hand movement for every word Hashem should continue to give hi kochos

  2. There never was or will ever be a Jewish talent that will match MBD. We were at the concert and were amazed at every song – every nuance – he really is the ‘real thing’.
Bli Ayan Hora – may he go from strength to strength and continue to give us all amazing Chizuk as our connection to the Rebono Shel Olum gets that much closer with every song.
