The frum community continues to be at the forefront of the plasma-antibody donation drive. Yesterday, Mordy Serle traveled with a contingent of Chassidic donors to Bethlehem, Pennsylvania to donate plasma. All donors are recovered coronavirus patients.

The frum community, working with Agudas Yisroel of America, The NY Blood Bank and its affiliates in neighboring states, is leading the effort to develop a large supply of these antibodies, in time to treat the many who need this life-saving treatment.

  1. more than 2000 yidden voluntarily tested to donate more than a week ago , most didnt even get results back almost none were called to donate . what is going on ? do they need life saving plasma, is this a war? does anybody have some info please post?

  2. I was called with results from the lrbcol Drive in Lakewood that my antibody levels were strong and that I was being asked to donate. I traveled to Delaware to donate the next day. However, they had originally informed me that I would only be notified with results if my antibodies were strong enough to donate.

  3. I think there’s an obsession with “KIDDUSH HASHEM” “CHILLUL HASHEM” and what you really mean is that the Goyim will be pleased. It’s not about Hashem being pleased anymore. The internet did this to us. We should all take a second to think about it. We were always the nation who ran to do chessed, save lives… giving blood is something so natural for us to do and we always do it in very high numbers. This time is no different but we should remember we are doing it l’shem shomayim because it’s the right thing to do and not chas v’shalom so that the goyim will say nice things about us. It’s not the point. It never was.
