  1. It is truly unbelievable that the Israeli newspapers (“charedi”) ignored the entire story as if it never happened, missing the opportunity to speak out against violence and enhance Ahavas Chinom, Ahavas Yisroel and Achdus Yisroel. It is especially worrisome that this message was left out during Sfiras Ha’Omer and the days of preparation for Kabbolas HaTorah.

Refuah shleima to R’ Rottenberg, and may we all be zoiche to greet Moshiach together, united k’ish echod b’leiv echod, NOW!

  2. Rabosai,Please help to avoid additional Chilul Shem Shomayim. This was a terrible and unfortunate story indeed. Let’s keep our comments tame! Let Hakadosh Boruch Hu declare Chazu, Chazu Bonai Chavivai about us. We controlled ourselves.
Let’s learn from the kriah in yesterday’s parsha about Miriam’s slip.

  3. It would be very nice if someone could translate the Rabbi’s words to English. I am sure that not every one like myself who checks this site can understand yiddish.

  4. I can’t translate the whole thing, but among the things he says:

    1. He thanks all those who have been davening for him and he attributes his recovery to their tefillos.

    2. He discusses the complicated surgeries he has to undergo, including grafting skin from various parts of his body to then be placed at the spots that were burned.

    3. He asked community leaders to speak out against behavior of the sort that was perpetrated here.

Perhaps other readers can add to what I wrote.

  5. Mr. MDshweks:
Are you trying to compare retzicho to not listening to a Rav, or are you trying to condone it, or are you plain stupid?

  6. a very sad story of an innocent person… there is no way Hashem can bring mashiach & give us back the bais hamikdosh klal yisroel is still in the same situation why it was destroyed. WHEN SINAS CHINAM IS ERASED FROM KLAL YISROEL THEN WE CAN PROVE TO HASHEM THAT WE ARE READY FOR MASHIACH
    MAY IT BE SOON ASAP

  7. That might be the yiddishe veg, but we still live in America and no one has the right to dictate how or where a person lives.
