An expert has issued a chilling warning to Russia amid the ongoing Ukraine war, stating that Vladimir Putin’s army is being pushed to its “breaking point.” The conflict has reached a critical stage, with Ukraine’s counter-offensive gaining momentum and placing immense pressure on Russia and its forces. Recently, the Kerch Bridge, a vital transport link between Russia and Crimea, was attacked for the second time in a year, though Ukrainian officials have not claimed responsibility for the blast.
In response to the intensifying conflict, the United States is bolstering its support to Ukraine by providing potentially destructive cluster bombs. Nicholas Drummond, a former British Army officer and defense industry analyst, believes the use of cluster bombs could be a significant turning point and have a substantial impact. He predicts that Ukraine will make progress in the coming weeks, but the complete collapse of the Russian army is unlikely. However, the morale and capabilities of Russian forces are stretched thin, and if Ukraine deploys cluster munitions, it could lead to Russian units retreating.
When asked about his view on the conflict over the coming weeks, Drummond told Daily Express US: “All things being equal, Ukraine will make headway and recover lost ground. “By September, we should see significant gains but we won’t see the complete collapse of the Russian army. “Having said that, morale and leadership on the ground, resupply, weapons – they are all pushed to breaking point and when Ukraine uses cluster munitions, you could see Russian units running away and that would be significant.” Drummond added: “The provision of cluster munitions will make a big difference. Ukraine is keeping up the pressure along a very long line, probing for weaknesses, and when they find one, they will exploit it.”
Amidst concerns that Putin might resort to using nuclear weapons in the war, Russia’s global allies, including China, have reacted strongly to the veiled threats. Chinese President Xi Jinping reportedly personally warned Putin against using nuclear weapons. Drummond emphasized that if Putin ignores these warnings and uses tactical nuclear weapons, NATO would likely launch massive air attacks on the Russian army in Ukraine, leading to a swift and overwhelming defeat. Such an outcome would likely cause China to distance itself from Putin and severely strain Russia’s relations with Europe.
Drummond stressed that using nuclear weapons would be catastrophic for Russia, leading to its collapse. Additionally, it could trigger a massive response from the West and render Russia’s military ineffective within days. He emphasized the severity of the situation, underscoring the potential consequences of escalating the conflict further.
That’s an interesting phrase in the article: “potentially destructive cluster bombs”.
…. I had no idea that bombs could be destructive….

Maybe the writer meant “potentially decisive cluster bombs”.
There exists so much internal contempt for this stupid unnecessary war, how is it that this maniac hasn’t been put down? It’s inconceivable! He’s responsible for well over 100,000 senseless deaths, trillions of dollars of destruction and the U.N. and the E.U. are busy condemning Israel. This world is so wacko! Bob Grant used to say, “it’s sick out there and getting sicker!”
