“Waken” is the first single off a brand-new album entitled ‘Only You: The Music of Aish Kodesh’. This special album is a master compilation of niggunim composed by a relatively unknown artist, Michael Shapiro, whose compositions from 1980’s Yerushalayim penetrate to the depths of heart and soul.

From the first time he listened to these songs, Rabbi Moshe Weinberger, Rav of Aish Kodesh in Woodmere NY, was deeply moved by their beauty, honesty, and holiness. As his connection to these niggunim grew over time, Rabbi Weinberger began longing to share them with all of Am Yisrael. Now, his dream has become a reality. In a beautiful tribute, several outstanding musicians produced by Shlomo Katz, including Eitan Katz, Chaim Dovid, Zusha, Raz Hartman, Yaakov Klein, and Yosef Karduner – all of whom have close ties to Rabbi Weinberger and the Aish Kodesh community, have joined together to collaborate on this incredible album showcasing the music of this special composer. Each song is a prayer, a journey, a whisper of the loving bond between the Jewish soul and our Father in heaven. We hope you enjoy!
