elliot-spitzerSo Eliot Spitzer’s downfall and attempted claw-back into politics hasn’t made him any more likable to The Wall Street Journal. And why should it? He’s been a shandeh.

The paper printed a scathing editorial against New York’s former governor, who threw his hat into the ring for New York City comptroller five years after he resigned in disgrace.

The Journal reminds readers that Spitzer abused power for years, even as attorney general.

The paper asks: remember how Spitzer threatened his enemies, saying he would hunt them down during his takedown of the titans of Wall Street? While Spitzer’s takedowns seemed like a success in the court of public opinion, they didn’t hold up in legal court. Read it at The Wall Street Journal.
