Warren Buffett has donated roughly $2.9 billion of Berkshire Hathaway Inc (BRKa.N) stock to four family charities and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the latest but not largest contribution in his plan to give away his fortune.

In a statement on Wednesday, Berkshire said Buffett’s 15th annual donation comprised 15.97 million Class B shares of Berkshire.

It boosted his donations to the charities to more than $37.4 billion since Buffett, who turns 90 on Aug. 30, began giving his Berkshire shares away in 2006.

  1. Hey Warren, you better save your money to pay reparations to black folks. Why are you, a priviliged WHITE, giving money to a fellow privileged WHITE?

  2. I doubt he donated anything to the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. If the Gates were coronavirused, their assets were confiscated (like other elite criminals).

  3. Worlds biggest baall tzedakah.
I witnessed the following story, someone asked rav elyashiv zt”lllhh if he should use his connections to get some of Warren buffets money for aniyei e”y. (May one take money from a non-jew)? He replied pikuach nefesh is docheh everything, for sure its docheh taking money from a non-Jew.

    • The Kashover Ruv used to come to L.A. once a year, every year for nearly 50 years. I used to “bundle” checks for the Ruv so when he arrived and we settle in at his achsania I would present the bundle of checks to the Ruv. Rav Blum Ztzl, the Ruv would not accept the bundle without asking if each and every donor was “Shomrei Torah and Mitzvohs” and if it is “Kooshere gelt”. If the donor did not meet the Ruv’s criteria he would ask me to return the money to the donor. I learned that it’s more difficult to return a contribution that it was to obtain it. Some of them were in the thousands.
