Warren, O’Rourke Say They Consider Trump To Be A White Supremacist

Two Democratic presidential candidates – Sen. Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts and former Texas Rep. Beto O’Rourke – said Wednesday that they consider President Donald Trump to be a white supremacist, an extraordinary charge against a sitting president.

Both White House hopefuls shared their comments on a day when Trump visited two cities mourning mass shootings, including El Paso, where the gunman who killed 22 people appeared to have written an essay echoing Trump’s disparaging language about immigration.

The New York Times reported that Warren, asked in a brief interview if she believes Trump is a white supremacist, replied “yes” without hesitation.

“He has given aid and comfort to white supremacists,” Warren said during a campaign stop in Council Bluffs, Iowa. “He’s done the wink and a nod. He has talked about white supremacists as fine people. He’s done everything he can to stir up racial conflict and hatred in this country.”

O’Rourke was asked during an interview on MSNBC if he considers Trump to be a white supremacist.

“He is,” O’Rourke replied. “He’s also made that very clear. He’s dehumanized or sought to dehumanize those who do not look like or pray like the majority here in this country. . . . He’s been clear who he wants to keep out with walls and cages and militarization and torture and cruelty.”

While other candidates have accused Trump of being a racist and sowing racial discord, the comments by Warren and O’Rourke go further.

In remarks Wednesday in Iowa, for instance, former Vice President Joe Biden accused Trump of having “fanned the flames of white supremacy in this nation” but stopped short of calling Trump a white supremacist.

Trump, in an address Monday from the White House, urged the nation to condemn white supremacy, and on Wednesday, as he departed on visits to Dayton, Ohio, and El Paso, he said he does not like hate, “whether it’s white supremacy, whether it’s any other kind of supremacy.”

Trump has also repeatedly called himself “the least racist person in the world.”

Since taking office, Trump has generated numerous controversies related to race.

Among the more recent was his call for four liberal minority congresswomen to “go back” to the “totally broken and crime infested places from which they came.” Only one of the freshman lawmakers targeted by Trump, Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., was born outside the United States. She became a U.S. citizen in 2000.

Trump also has recently trained his ire on Rep. Elijah Cummings, D-Md., an African American lawmaker whose majority-black district includes part of Baltimore, which Trump described as a “rodent infested mess” where “no human being would want to live.”

  3. (Tea Party PAC) – The Democrats have nothing going on in their party that will actually improve our country in any discernible way.
As we’ve seen on full display on the floor of the Democrat-controlled House this year, they seem capable of doing nothing more than virtue signaling to the most radical members of their base.
All they’ve managed to get done this year is to pass stupid resolutions and whine about Trump while they try to decide if they should pursue impeachment or not.
Many of the radical members of the House, those who both have and haven’t been dominating the news for the last nine months, ran on impeachment and they’re cluelessly prattering about it while the adults try to figure out what to do.
Reps. Jerry Nadler (D-NY) and Adam Schiff (D-CA) clearly want to see the president impeached, but they are also painfully aware it might blow up in their faces.
This is obviously why Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) has been rather tight-lipped about whether or not impeachment proceedings will be moving forward.
She’s no fool though–she, along with Nadler and Schiff, are all equally committed to creating the impression that Trump is a crook, while trying to do as much as they can to prevent having to actually prove he is a crook.
So Nadler, it appears, wants to make very sure that we all see he’s still kicking that can.
On Monday, the House Judiciary Chairman told MSNBC that his panel may move to impeach Trump by late fall.
“If we decide to report articles of impeachment, we could get to that late in the fall, in the latter part of the year,” he told MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.”
A few weeks ago, his panel asked a federal judge to unseal the grand jury material relating to Mueller’s investigation.
They won’t stop beating that dead horse, believe me.
The court filing was used to declare that House Democrats have launched an “impeachment investigation” of President Trump.
His committee it also gearing up to sue former White House Counsel Don McGahn to compel his testimony.
“I think that we will probably get court decisions by the end of October, maybe shortly thereafter. We’ll have hearings in September and October with people we don’t — witnesses who are not dependent on the court proceedings,” Nadler said.
Meanwhile, Pelosi sticks to vague language about “litigating and building a case.”
In reality, the Democrats in the House clearly don’t have the stomach for this. Al Green’s articles of impeachment from a few weeks ago was rendered DOA as the House voted 332 to 95 to kill the impeachment resolution.
If they ever did manage to pull an impeachment off, it would have to go to the Senate, which is controlled by Republicans so yeah.
They don’t have a chance pulling it off before the election.
So why are they still talking about it?
They are hoping the American people are dumb enough to think that Trump is a crook if they repeat it often enough and loud enough–right out of the Nazi propagandist’s handbook.

  4. Do you remember what George W. “Dubya” Bush was called by many, many left-wingers during his presidency?
    “BusHitler”
This is what they called a very decent, self-effacing man who didn’t have a racist bone in his body.
President Trump can be crude, coarse and vulgar, but you know what? Somehow I believe that these “Racist” and “White Supremacist” accusations have more to do with his political party than anything else.
