Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), who is running for the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination, said on Thursday that the U.S. embassy in Israel should be decided in negotiations between the Israelis and the Palestinians.

She did not say if she would reverse U.S. President Donald Trump’s relocation of the embassy in May 2018.

“We need to encourage both Israel and the Palestinians to negotiate with each other,” she said during a CNN town hall. “The United States should not be putting a thumb on the scale, should not be saying in these negotiations, ‘We stand only with one party.’ We should recognize that Israel has a right to its security. The Palestinians have a right to self-determination and to be treated with respect.”

She continued, saying, “the two-state solution has been the official policy of the United States and of Israel for nearly 70 years now. How do you make that happen? You want to be a good friend to Israel and to the Palestinians. Keep pushing them to the negotiating table. Let them negotiate, for all of the pieces they want, how they create a long-term, sustainable home for Palestinians and a safe, stable home for the Israelis. But our job is to get them to the negotiating table and stop handing out for political reasons just favors to one side and hurting the other. That does not in the long run move that region closer to peace and it does not treat the people in the region with the respect they deserve.”

Warren criticized Trump for taking actions favorable to one side: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

“The embassy is what they should be negotiating,” she said. “They should be negotiating what constitutes the capital. That’s really my point; that’s what the parties should decide.”

She added, “The parties should negotiate whether or not the capital is in Jerusalem, where the capital is, and then the United States should move its embassy to be in the capital of each of the two states in a two-state solution.”

Candidates who have pledged to keep the U.S. embassy in Jerusalem include former U.S. Vice President Joe Biden, former South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg, Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.) and Sen. Michael Bennet (D-Colo.).

  1. Pocahontas Warren is a left-wing loony liberal socialist, a pathological liar, a hater of Jews and a hater of Israel. She is a leading DemocRAT. Now let that sink in!
Yidden! Every time you vote for a DemocRAT you only damage and endanger yourself and all of Klal Yisroel.
    Jews should not be DemocRATs!!!
Yidden, Wake up! You keep supporting the left-wing, liberal nutcase DemocRATs. Why??? We have nothing in common with them; they have nothing in common with us. Most of them hate us.
Please register to vote. I would recommend registering as a Republican. One of my granddaughters was told by her morah to register as a DemocRAT because “you won’t be able to vote in New York as a Republican!” This was at a Bais Yaacov!! Completely false. Then there are some who won’t register to vote because they fear Jury Duty. Partially false. If you have a driver’s license you can also be called for jury duty. The political parties (Dems & Repubs) check registrations in all districts. They look at demographics and voting patterns. If they see few or no registrations for their party then they don’t bother to support a candidate but when they see registration for their party start to climb it gives them encouragement to field a candidate and support that candidate. I would suggest to everyone, go online to: https://www.elections.ny.gov/votingregister.html and register or re-register to Republican.
    In California: https://www.sos.ca.gov/elections/voting-resources/voting-california/registering-vote/
We can’t let the meshiginas continue to run the government.

  2. Jar of the penny. Hers is thick. We know she wants the world.

A penny more a day. A small humor a heart.

The world has enough Elizabeth Warren to fill a dress shop pink purple and blue.

    There goes the flag.

  3. Is it possible to know the Palestinians opinion on where the capital should be located? I recall when the capital was Tel Aviv they had objections too.
