Sen. Bernie Sanders, whose presidential campaign won 22 states and 13 million votes before losing the nomination to Hillary Clinton, is laying out his agenda in his new book, “Our Revolution: A Future to Believe In.” The Vermont senator joined “CBS This Morning” to discuss why he thinks Democrats failed to appeal to the working class in the 2016 election.

He also foolishly gave credence to the point that Hillary garnered more popular votes than Donald Trump.

Bernie, take some time off.

  1. Old Bernie has officially entered the Uncle Joe Biden zone. This guy is burnt toast. It’s time for him to join Uncle Joe at the dog track. If he hurries, he can still make the free lunch at the matinee.

  2. The popular vote IS relevant in that it’s important to know that A LOT of people are not happy with Trump, especially considering that he ran a very divisive campaign.

  3. Winning popular vote in an electoral college election is not an indicator of all that one would win it in a popular vote election because 1) Campaigning in electoral college election is limited to about 13 states and 2) many people in non-swing states do not bother voting (they should anyway!) because they feel their vote does not count. So yes, it is irrelevant.
