Hundreds of medical staff of Lenox Hill Hospitals were treated to a day of celebration and appreciation for their exceptional and dedicated service to the residents of New York City during the corona-19 pandemic.
The program began with the singing of the national anthem sung by Aron Gerstel. The Bridge Unity Band led by international singers Ezzy Gluck and Levi Okunov who led the group of health professionals in beautiful songs of hope and gratitude.
The staff of B&H electronics presented beautiful gifts and to all the staff. The beautiful energy at the entrance to Lenox Hill Hospital 100 east 77 street was full of music dancing and happiness as hundreds of upper east side residents came to join in the day of appreciation
Mark Appel one of the volunteers described the emotional reactions of the community, Seeing hundreds of the medical staff dancing with joy and happiness as new Yorkers join together to show gratitude to such angels bought sweet tears to all, said Appel
The nurses and medical staff were so overwhelmed with joy and stayed around for hours dancing and mingling with the volunteers of B&H as the program came to end
Joining the program were Martin Witriol and Simon Sebag from the office of Public Advocate Jumaane Williams as well as Senior staff of the hospital Peg Butler and Katie Greer.
A special thanks to the leadership of Northwell Health/Lenox Hill for leading and ensuring the best and compassionate health care to all patients during this corona-19 viral pandemic.
Did Lenox Hospital nurses and doctors not murder any patients the last few months?
These first responders from the medical community truly deserve the appreciation of the entire Jewish community. And it was nice for B&H to lead the charge on this. However, I hate to throw cold water on this. I suggest that we re-examine whether this is a priority. With the funds in the community so limited, many are struggling to manage their homes financially. how many cannot afford their rent and utilities, how many cannot afford groceries, and how many cannot afford their health care? B&H “furloughed” over a hundred of their frum employees. These are not strangers to the B&H company. They are presently without their wages, health care, and many are dealing with other issues that they lost resources to enable them to attend to them. It seems to me that these matters are far more crucial, and that effort and funds need to go there before the gala celebrations for the doctors and nurses (well deserved, just not the top priority).
would you feel good if B&H gives you $25? In addition, they too suffered a huge loss as was widely reported on the news but still went out of their way to do this. Doing a mitzva or a kiddush hashem should never be taloi on money or not.
i was in the hospital in new jersey and my son told my doctor that the family appreciates what the doctor did for his mother. the doctor responded: and i appreciate that you appreciate because no one ever says ‘thank you’. boruch HaShem we are part of klal yisroel
