The juxtaposition of this הדלקה and Rabbi Klein’s דרשה is great. Did you notice the Rosh Yeshiva’s “מנורה”. Which yungerman is satisfied with anything less than a 2k dollar מנורה today?
I’ve been married for over 40 years KA”H and never had a big ornate menorah. What I do have is large, beautiful, pewter menorah that I found at Marshalls several years ago. Today’s young men want the most expensive of everything, paid for by parents and in-laws. And, chas vesholom, they should go out and work for anything. I don’t know who started this sick trend back in the 80s – every boy needs to sit in kollel – but in my humble opinion, this is probably a major cause of the divorce epidemic. Too many phonies selling themselves off as learning boys and hardly learning at all. In my day they were called Leidig Geiers.

It’s incredible
The Menorah the Rosh Yeshiva is using
If I saw one thing this Chanuka this was all worth it
We don’t need to knock others
Just get inspired to do what is correct
New Zach – Litvishe Rebbes….
What, you’d prefer tuna bagels?
Serious question:
does anyone know why the RY has his neiros set up on the left side of the menora?
