      • No, it is tragic.

There are not enough Kevarim of Tzadikim in Eretz Yisrael? They have to travel to Uman and give huge amounts of money to Jew-haters?

        • Obviously Reb Nachman zt”l had/has the power tzaddikim buried in Israel do not. Does every living Jew follow the same Gadol? Of Course. There are a lot of Gedolei Yisrael worldwide and everyone follows the one his soul pulls to.

          • What a ridiculous comment.

Reb Nachman had more power than Avraham, Yitzchok, Yaakov, Sarah, Rivkah , Rachel, and Leah?

            More than the RAMBAM?

SMH and rachmonus for the lost souls

  1. We had hundreds of Tzadikim and Ge’onim who lived after Reb Nacman’s passing, and none of them ever told their followers to go to Uman for Rosh Hashanah. Didn’t they understand all these promises and Segulos?

  2. Where is the “erenskeit” , the “eimas yom hadin”? This is vert p’rizosdig! This is “holelus” and just having a good time. It can’t be called a serious place of tefila!

    • They would be better off to remain in Eretz Yisrael and daven by the graves of the Tzadikim in Yerushalayim, Tiveria, Tzfat, or Meron.

      • Just like Jews do not all follow the same Gadol, so do Jews not feel the same inspiration at all gravesites, even those in cities you mentioned. There’s must be something very inspirational at the grave of the tzaddik in Uman where tens of thousands pilgrimage yearly, which you obviously cannot fathom. May he be a meilitz yosher for all of Klal Yisrael and push forward the coming of Mashiach.

    • If you’d have a heart filled with ahavas Yisrael you’d see how great Reb Nachman zt”l is for being able to bring these lost souls back to tshuva, which means future generations oivdei Hashem, baruch Hashem. If their dancing lifts their spirits up to Torah and mitzvos and they become more religious, that’s the way they need to do it. They’re probably more ‘erenst’ than these non-Jewish hippyish dances by chareidi at weddings.

  3. I have been to unan 3 times back about 18 years ago when there were only 7000 people. In a crazy way the area of Ukraine is more religious observant than many cities of israel who have yearly Toeiva parades. In Ukraine or Russia these toeiva would get a beating by the citizens there. So maybe that’s why so many Israelis go to umam seeking spirituality.

  4. Why do people think some rebbe who lived less the 300 years ago can do more for us then Avraham, Yitzchok and Yaakov, I do not see mass pilgrimage to chevron!?!

    • We always follow recent rabbis. You will notice thousands of Jews go to satmar, lubavitch Yeshivash or sfardic graves of recent times. Rabbis of the distant past were too lofty for us to really connect.

  5. Uman is a very mysterious place. Years ago when I first went it saved my life. Had I been in ny I would probably be dead. Some drug dealer was looking to kill me but ended up killing his girlfriend and himself as police souronded him. I ended up getting stuck in England overnight on my return trip. That which I thought was bad turned out good and upon my return was greeted by calls on my answering machine from the police and media.

    • Remain calm and no one is going to get hurt.
I left your medication on the counter. The milk is in the fridge. No sudden moves please.
