Gerald Wittenstein, CEO of International Space Systems who also worked at NASA alongside American astronaut Neil Armstrong, made aliyah to Eretz Yisroel this week together with his wife after residing in Huntsville, Alabama, for many years.

The Wittensteins have been regular customers of Delta Airlines for over 20 years, and the Delta staff on their final flight said an emotional goodbye to them as seen in the moving video below. The flight attendant also read a message to them from their grandchildren.

  1. Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin were from the 3 astronauts involved in the first mission of the moon. Aldrin admitted it was faked. Indeed their “moon landing” was in the desert in Arizona. Nasa was only founded in 1958 and already 11 years later they were able to send someone up to the moon??? Good story for the sheeple.

    • This is a shameful lie. What Aldrin said was that the photograph of the US flag being planted was staged, not the landing itself, and that it was actually Aldrin, not Armstrong, who planted the flag — that Armstrong took the photograph.

The source for the false claim is apparently an article on the satire site huzlers.com. It was such good satire that people took it seriously! Huzlers states that it is a “Huzlers is a satirical and fictional entertainment blog” and the actual article is even labeled “BLOG FICTION” in capital letters. I guess the gullible can’t read capital letters.

And then there is the question of why someone would denigrate Mr. Wittenstein, who had a successful career as an orthodox Jewish scientist. He was quoted by Jew in the City a year and a half ago as saying, “There is nothing out there [in space] but God. If anything, I think that the Abishter, the Holy One Blessed Be He, put all that stuff out there to get our attention. And He got my attention, and many other people’s attention.” Talk about a Kiddush HaShem!!! I hope that the government and rabbinic leaders of Israel great this amazing man and give him an enthusiastic welcome upon his arrival to the Holy Land.
