There is a Kol koreh from a generation ago with essentially every gadol/rosh yeshiva of that generation signed against it. Those names far outweigh anyone who permits it.
No normal mainstream gedolim allow it.

He is of course right that it’s a huge problem to go on Har HaBayit, both because it’s forbidden and also because it incites the Arabs.
