  1. Why are you publicizing these ideas and actions that are not part of our Mesora? All this touchy feely society we currently live in was never sanctioned by the Gedolim.

    • It is said that a Jew who puts on Tefillin once has changed his accounting dramatically. If saying it in a touchy feely way helps the person put them on then i challenge you to find one gadol to sjpport your position. Also publicising a mitzvah is a kiddish Hashem.

    • Right!
and everybody knows the halacha is not to wear tefilin. what kind of perverse anti-mesora actions is the tefillin wearing

    • Guy. Its a mitzvah. Its not the emotion that wants the mitzvah. Its Hashem.

Get the esrog you are putting wrongly in your hard wit better. This is Israel.

  2. Obviously, this is an extremely wonderful thing that these people did!! A lot more people must do like them!!

  3. Which gedolim say not to put on tefillin on another Jew? And which mesora do we have that says do not put on tefillin on another Jew?

  4. May I ask the fellow who claims he follows halacha (first comment):
    Do you where Teffillin?
If you do was it sanctioned by the “Gedolim”?
Is it part of the Mesorah?
When you actually put on teffilin (if you do) is it only – in your words – just “touchy” feely?
If you wear Teffilin it is advisable that you check their kashrus to ascertain they are kosher for them to affect your mind and heart to coincide and is focused with the will of hashem.
Apparently you and yours have not read the introduction to the Semag and much more.

  5. What a remarkable way to ignite the pintale yid!! What a wonderful way to bind other Jews into Am Yisrael. This is aside from the fact that doing a mitzva l’iluy nishmas a Yid gives the neshama an aliyah is a known fact!

  6. not our mesora? is that so?
did you read what the smag writes in mitsvas asei 3 how he went around sfard and got yidin to start putting on tefilin

when the lubavitcher rebbe zatzal ask to go out and get yidden to put on tefilin many gedolim signed that this is very in portent this influence thousands to be mekayem the mitsva of tefilin

this is the real ahavas yisrael a yid should do, to bring anouter yid closer to hashem.

  8. May this be an aliyah for the neshamos of those who were murdered solely for being Jewish.
May those who donned the tefilin – at least one for his first time – be inspired to become shomrei Torah u’mitzvos.
May the relatives of the niftarim have a nechama for the loss of their beloved family members.
Tizku l’mitzvos, gentlemen – what a kiddush Hashem.

  9. Take one thought. The men who are conservative and reform may have been told they are bar mitzvahs. They often almost never complete the mitzvah by putting on tefillin.

We are lied to by the unorthodox who want a sweet good time to get their new cars, their high rent homes and their quick day in a ‘service’ to anything that seems jewish.

We should be furious the full and encourage any who are stuck by birth that movement a trust to find a way to complete their bar mitzvah. The only way a jew can find strength is with tefillin. A soul and a good mind.

This is real. We know. Hashem has sanctioned Israel.

Why not be proud. We keep Torah.

  10. To atone for the tremendous chillul Hashem in the Tree of Life, they should put tefillin on to those men in that synagogue in memory of the kedoshim.
