Who is the favorite singer of the secular Israeli journalist?
During the radio program of Yinon Magal and Chaim Levinson on Israel’s Radio 103FM, Levinson – a not-yet-religious Israeli – responded to a listener’s question about his favorite singer.
Levinson revealed that his favorite singer is the chareidi singer Naftali Kempeh. Levine even requested that the program’s producer play Kempeh’s hit song “Kol Hanechalim Holchim LaYam, which he did.
Watch the dialogue between the hosts:
The following is Kempeh’s hit song “Kol Hanechalim Holchim LaYam”:
THE POWER OF MUSIC TO BREAK THROUGH THE HARDEST HEARTS BH!
YASHER KO’ACH BRACHA V HATZLOCHA TO THESE TWO MEN.
The pinteleh yid.
He was asked who his favorite Chasidic singer is not singer in general.
Naftali Kempeh is Litvish.
In Israel, what we call “jewish music” is called chassidic music. It doesn’t mean the singer is chassidish vs litvish. I’ve been confused in the past as well until I realized that.
