US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin on Monday reiterated the US’s support of Israel in its war against Hamas at a joint press conference in Tel Aviv. Speaking alongside Israeli Defence Minister Yoav Gallant, Austin said that “America’s support for Israel’s security is unshakable” and that the US “will remain Israel’s closest friend in the world.”
