In a 1999 interview with CNN’s Wolf Blitzer, Donald Trump said he was concerned about North Korea’s development of nuclear weapons and that the US shouldn’t rule out any options, including a possible military strike, in order to keep Pyongyang in check.

  1. President Trump said then “If spoken to correctly, correctly, they will play ball… We give them nuclear power plants, we give them tremendous aid because we thought we could bribe them.” Which is exactly what the previous administrations did, causing them to build more and more missiles.
